Viagem has launched the ‘Na plácku’ project. Dozens of children met the first team
Just before our pre-season friendly against Dukla Prague, we launched a new project aimed at discovering talent on the town’s football pitches. The first event in Předlice was attended by around fifty children and exceeded even our expectations.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez, Didier Drogba – three footballers who didn’t start their careers in modern stadiums, but on ordinary local pitches. Inspired by their stories, we decided to launch a project called ‘Na plácku’, which aims to give a chance to talented players who might otherwise go unnoticed.
The first instalment of the project took place on a clay pitch in Předlice, where, nestled amongst the blocks of flats, lies a unique playing field with two goals and patches of grass. No rules, no fencing – just a simple football ground where raw talent emerges every day. Our guide for the project is Dan Ferenc, who knows exactly how to attract the children here. All we had to do was mention it, and around fifty of them turned up.
