"We mustn’t let that little train get too far ahead of us," says Fiala, coach of the B team, who is confident of an improvement
Viagemu’s reserve team started the new season in the fourth-tier league with just one point from three matches. However, manager Aleš Fiala is confident the team will bounce back soon.
Three rounds have now been played in the new season of the fourth-tier football league, and Ústí nad Labem’s Viagem B side have picked up just one point so far. They earned that point from a 1–1 draw with Tempo Prague, whilst the other two matches ended in heavy defeats.
Most recently, our players endured another disappointing experience when they suffered a 0–5 thrashing in a rainy match in Chomutov. Neither the pitch conditions nor the result were anything like what the team had hoped for at the start of the season.
However, reserve team coach Aleš Fiala is not giving in to panic. He knows that his players are going through a period of change and are still gelling as a new squad, which is naturally reflected in their results on the pitch.
“We mustn’t let the train pull too far ahead of us. We’ll bounce back,” said coach Fiala, commenting on the autumn part of the competition so far.
According to the coach, the team’s current form reflects the changes made to the squad before the season. The team is still finding its feet and gelling, which is a natural process that every newly formed side must go through.
Viagem fans are therefore waiting for the reserves to find their feet and start picking up points that would match the club’s ambitions in the fourth-tier league.
