Viagem’s reserve team lost 0–5 in Chomutov, whilst the first team beat Dukla 3–1 at home

Whilst Viagem’s first team put in an excellent performance on Friday evening, beating former top-flight side Dukla Prague 3–1 at home, the reserves lost 0–5 at the summer stadium in Chomutov at the same time.
Friday’s evening of football brought Viagem fans two completely different emotions. Whilst the first team put in a superb performance at home to beat former top-flight side Dukla Prague 3–1, the reserves were having a tough time at the same time at the summer stadium in Chomutov, where they eventually suffered a heavy 0–5 defeat.
Almost three hundred spectators watched the match in Chomutov, and the home fans certainly did not leave disappointed. Dominik Procházka found the net early on, opening the scoring in the eighth minute. Chomutov had two more great chances in the first half, but failed to convert them. Ústí’s reserves managed one clear-cut shot, but it was brilliantly saved by the home side’s goalkeeper, Radim Švejda, who kept it out of the net.
In the 33rd minute, Radek Kibal extended Chomutov’s lead, and the half-time score of 2–0 gave the home side a clear advantage. Švejda also shone with his saves in the second half, once again keeping his team in the game and maintaining a clean sheet. This is the goalkeeper’s second clean sheet in a row – a week ago, he kept Sokolov at bay in exactly the same way.
The second half was quieter in terms of goals; the spectators had to wait until the 70th minute for the next goal, when František Bakrlík made it 3–0. This was followed by a quick double – Kenneth Balász scored two goals in the space of two minutes, between the 73rd and 74th minutes, sealing a heavy defeat for Ústí’s reserves.
After three rounds, Chomutov maintain a 100 per cent record and, with nine points, are the only unbeaten team in the competition. Ústí’s reserves, by contrast, have just one point from three matches and a heavily negative goal difference of 1:12, which highlights their struggle to find form at the start of the season.
