Viagem also beat Kroměříž and, after two rounds, top the Second League table

Our first team confirmed their excellent start to the season and, following their home win against Kladno, picked up another three points, this time away at Kroměříž. The match took place in extremely changeable conditions – the initial heat was gradually replaced by a violent thunderstorm with torrential rain, which made the game considerably more difficult.

Our side took the lead early on when Alan Do Marcolino found the net, opening his scoring account for the current season. After the break, Pavel Moulis sealed the victory, bringing the final score to 2–0 in Viagem’s favour.

“For me, it was a far better performance than against Kladno. We had the match under control practically the whole time; apart from one incident, we didn’t let our opponents create anything,” said coach David Oulehla.

“There was a storm during the last twenty minutes or so of the first half, when we were playing against the wind; that was really quite unpleasant, but we managed to see it through. I think we deserved to win,” added the coach.

Unfortunately, the injury list in defence is growing. David Březina has now joined David Sellés, Filip Novotný and Ladislav Kodad on the sidelines. “Březina had a bit of a viral infection this morning, so we’re hopeful it’ll only be for a few days and he’ll be ready for the next match. Kodad is slowly making a comeback, but unfortunately the situation with David Sellés is more complicated and he’s had to travel to Spain to see further specialists,” explained the Ústí coach.

Our players will now defend their position at the top of the table on Friday at 6.00 pm, when they host the league’s newcomers from Česká Lípa at home.
