Our footballers played a pre-season friendly against Dukla Prague in front of their own fans. The match ended in a 2–2 draw, which coach Oulehla sees as preparation for the start of the new season.
The home fans got their first glimpse of the first team in action this year. The match against Dukla Prague was a thrilling affair, with the Prague side quickly taking a 2–0 lead after twenty minutes. However, the second half belonged mainly to us.
First, Franck Idumbo scored a magnificent goal, then captain Jan Peterka equalised following a precise corner from Pavel Moulis. We had several excellent chances to win in the remainder of the match — Diarra and Okebugwu in particular created clear-cut opportunities, but the score remained unchanged.
Coach David Oulehla was forthcoming after the match: “I agree that we were the slightly better team. I’m disappointed we didn’t win; the first half went well, but we were caught out on the counter-attack twice and left players unmarked in the box,
