Viagem has made a successful start to the league season, and now faces a cup tie against a league rival
The Ústí footballers kicked off the new Chance National League season with a 2–1 win over Kladno and found out straight afterwards who they would face in the first round of the MOL Cup.
The Viagem Ústí nad Labem footballers have made a successful start to the new Chance National League season. They beat Kladno 2–1 at home, picking up valuable points right from the opening round.
Even before the winner was decided on the pitch, the players and club management were watching the MOL Cup draw, which determined their opponents for the first round of the cup. The official date for the cup tie has been set for Wednesday 12 August.
After the draw, coach Oulehla revealed the club’s preference: “We want to face a league opponent in Ústí.”
The Ústí side will have a welcome advantage on this date – a few extra days off compared to the usual league schedule. Their final match before the cup tie will be played at home against Česká Lípa on Friday 7 August, which will give them plenty of time to prepare.
Following the cup tie, Viagem face another league fixture, which will see them travel to Třinec on 17 August.
